Slow Going in New York

Sixth Avenue at Rush HourNew York, like many cities, is a strange world of motion: people walk fast and ride slowly. The volume of cars on a small island makes ground transportation stomach-churningly slow. In the suburbs you can drive fast on a bewildering network of highways but rarely walk.

We all experience motion uniquely:

Santa Claus

Baseball

Tree

The Ocean

Icebergs

Fireworks

Animals

More Animals

Fashion Week (more NYC!)

  1. This image is intensely wonderful. Radio City! What an icon. Love your insight that a vehicle made to make us go fast has the power to slow down a city. Awesome post.
