Summer Sunset

In the summer, daytime doesn’t give up without a fight.

With the city in the distance, these commuter train tracks pick up the vivid oranges of the setting sun before the cool darkness takes over.

I walk over these tracks almost every weekday and am often happily surprised by the sky to the west of me.  Other pedestrians taking pictures, children waving at the trains passing under us, we all use and appreciate this footbridge.
