Careful With The Big Boats

Approaching the VerrazanoI think people cheered when the cruise ship carefully passed under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge for two reasons:

  1. It looked like a tight squeeze. There has never been a report of cruise ships bumping into the bridge, which joins New York’s boroughs of Brooklyn and Staten Island. But the optical illusion is fun.
  2. Now that we were clearly leaving New York’s waters, the vacation had officially begun!

  1. Lovely to enjoy those blue skies again! I would love to go on a cruise ;-D thank you for sharing this uplifting post. It must be an amazing feeling seeing the shore get smaller as you leave it all behind.
