The View From The Grids

One of the nice things about mass transit  is when an elevated train or platform gives you a panoramic view. It’s sad, though, when the grid of windows is so dirty that you can’t see your surroundings.

The view of Rockaway would be great from these train station windows.

Subway elevator gridThe left side of these elevator windows make me think of a Mondrian. They’re clean only because this elevator is fairly new.

It’s interesting to view the world through windowed grids, especially when you’re on a train and there’s not much else to do.
